Real estate investment company Novare Group and real estate firm BCDC have debuted a new luxury apartment community on the Georgia coast.
Set among live oaks at 5000 Populus Drive in Pooler, Ga., Populus Pooler is a 30-acre, 316-unit property located midway between the South’s busiest seaport and a new $5.5 billion Hyundai Motor Group facility. The Hyundai “Metaplan.”is slated for completion in 2025 and is expected to hire at least 8,500 employees and produce up to 300,000 electric vehicles yearly.
Populus Pooler features a selection of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, ranging from 725 to 1,338 square feet. Features and finishes include Whirlpool stainless steel appliances, high ceilings, upgraded closet shelving and granite countertops. A resort-style pool with tanning ledges is among the community’s common-area amenities.
The architect of record is Dynamik Design. Classic Plains Construction is the general contractor. The senior lender for the project is Citizens Bank, with mezzanine financing and property management provided by LivCor.
Populus Pooler is located within 15-minute to half-hour drives of four colleges and universities: Savannah Technical College, Savannah College of Art and Design, Armstrong Atlantic State University and South University. Morgan’s corner, Hadden’s Twin Oaks and Pooler Junction are among the shopping centers located several minutes away.
Area attractions include Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens at the Historic Bamboo Farm and Savannah-Ogeechee Canal Museum and Nature Center. Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport is an 18-minute drive away.
Three months ago, Olympus Property purchased Alleia, a two-year-old, 328-unit rental community previously owned by LivCor, in Savannah’s Pooler submarket.
