GFI Development, a New York-based real estate developer, has begun closing on 99 new luxury condominiums and two penthouses at ONE11 Residences at Thompson Central Park, located near Billionaire’s Row in Midtown Manhattan. Built on nine floors atop the Thompson Central Park New York hotel at 111 W. 56th Street, prices start at $1.2 million for the upscale residences in the 42-story building.
The company has said that 10 contracts have been signed in recent weeks. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is exclusively handling sales and marketing for the building’s residences, which have been designed by renowned architectural designer Thomas Juul-Hansen.
The one- and two-bedroom condominium residences and two four-bedroom penthouse have private terraces overlooking Central Park. The homes range in size from 549 to 3,042 square feet. The developer is also offering turnkey packages by Juul-Hansen that were designed exclusively for ONE11 and offer a choice between light or darker color schemes with upscale furnishings and fixtures.
Residential features
The residences have luxurious fixtures and features throughout and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of the city and Central Park. Kitchens include super-white quartzite countertops, bronze and tinted mirror glass backsplashes, white oak cabinetry, white oak-paneled walls, Miele appliances and Kraus sinks with chrome faucets. The units have floor-to-ceiling windows and dining areas featuring wide plank European oak flooring. All bathrooms have nickel Waterworks fixtures and primary bathrooms feature Bianco Dolomiti stone vanities and backsplashes.
Luxury amenities and hotel services will including concierge, a lobby with a full-size bar and Parker’s restaurant and a members’ club-style Upper Stories Lounge on the third floor, as well as a gym.
In addition to convenient access to Central Park, ONE11’s residents will be near New York City’s top dining, shopping and cultural offerings including Carnegie Hall, City Center and Lincoln Center.
Winning combination
Founded in 1999, affiliates of GFI Hospitality and GFI Development have developed more than $2 billion of real estate, including in the hospitality residential, office and retail spaces. These projects have been in New York as well as in Florida, where GFI’s most recent project is Ritz Carlton Residences, Miami Beach. That eight-story building features 111 waterfront condos and 15 villas on Miami Beach.
Hotel-branded residences, particularly standalone branded residential projects, have been growing in popularity. Options include several formats including a hotel, hotel and branded residences in different buildings and standalone properties without a nearby hotel.
