Wan Bridge is expanding its development portfolio in Greater Houston with Enclave at Mason Creek, a new build-to-rent community in Katy, Texas.
Construction started in July and the project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023. BMO Harris Bank is financing the new development.
The new community will be located among Katy’s office parks, at the intersection of Merchants Way, N. Mason Road and Interstate 10. Enclave at Mason Creek will include 192 three- and four-bedroom luxury townhomes with high ceilings, contemporary designs and finishes.
The build-to-rent community will be situated close to the Greater Houston’s Energy Corridor, between University of Houston-Victoria at Katy and Texas Children’s Hospital, near a variety of retail and dining options such as Walmart, Target, Lowe’s, The Home Depot, as well as local attractions including George Bush Park.
Since 2016, Wan Bridge has been active in the acquisition and development of build-to-rent communities across high-demand cities in Texas, including Austin, Dallas and Houston. Earlier this year, the company entered into a partnership that will develop 1,000 BFR units in the state.
According to a recent Multi-Housing News piece, Dallas and Austin top the list for multifamily construction activity across the U.S., with 44,595 units and 41,358 units under construction, respectively.
