Alpine Start Development has broken ground on Range West, a new apartment community in Saginaw, Texas. The 261-unit garden style property will be situated on approximately 11 acres in the fast-growing Dallas suburb.
Aiming to provide much-needed density to the region, Range West will be the first of a number of “Range” branded apartment communities to be developed in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in coming years, the company has announced.
The unit mix will include 150 one-bedroom apartments measuring between 637 and 712 square feet in size, 99 two-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 1,139 to 1,150 square feet, and a dozen three-bedroom residences totaling 1,349 square feet. Among the higher-profile common-area amenities of Range West will be a fully-equipped fitness center.
Income growth
Saginaw has a rapidly expanding population and is seeing substantial income growth. Residents of the new community will be within walking distance of a supermarket, almost two dozen restaurants and a number of schools. With the apartment supply in Saginaw constrained, this community will fill an important need, given the burgeoning city’s many incoming new residents.
Alpine Start Development anticipates welcoming its first residents in the fourth quarter of 2024, with full completion of the community to follow early the following year. The last 18 months have seen Alpine Start launch three multifamily communities totaling 875 units in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin metros. The firm is in predevelopment stages at additional communities that could bring its pipeline up to a total of 2,000 units.
Earlier this month the Paskin Group announced that it had acquired Bellrock Bishop Arts, a 207-unit apartment community in Dallas, through a 1031 exchange.
