Continental Properties has opened Avanterra Forest Hills Preserve, a 149-unit single-family rental community in Grand Rapids, Mich. The developer broke ground on the project a year ago after landing a $40.8 million construction loan from The Huntington National Bank, Yardi Matrix data shows.
The luxury community comprises one- to four-bedroom homes—varying from 983 to 1,860 square feet—with laundry facilities, smart home technology and private yards and garages. Community amenities include a fitness center, clubhouse and swimming pool, as well as an onsite pet playground and pet washing station.
Located at 2010 Deciduous Drive, close to Interstate 96, the property is less than a mile from several dining and retail options, including T.J. Maxx, Aldi and Meijer. Major employers in the area include Acrisure, Autocam Medical and an Amazon Fulfillment Center, with Grand Rapids city center within 5 miles of the property.
Avanterra Forest Hills Preserve marks Continental Properties’ third development in the area, after Springs at Knapp’s Crossing and Springs at the Reserve, two townhome-style communities in Grand Rapids and Wyoming, Mich., respectively, totaling 548 units.
The company has been active in other parts of the country, as well. A few months ago, Continental completed Authentix Cartersville, a 240-unit property in Cartersville, Ga. Last year, the company closed two funds totaling $1 billion, with all the committed capital invested in 14 communities spread across suburban areas in the Midwest and Southeast.
