Lendlease has completed the renovation of 170 units at Campbell Crossing, a military housing community for junior enlisted families, in Fort Campbell, Ky.
The improvements were part of a larger $300 million development plan for the property, which includes the construction of new residences and is expected to last five years.
The improvements started in 2021 and involved kitchen renovations, bathroom remodels, upgrades to interior finishes and appliances and total replacements of exteriors. In addition, Lendlease added sustainable features such as LED lights and water-saving elements.
The developer is working on the demolition and construction of 680 new residences at the site. The developments at Campbell Crossing are included in the company’s $1.1 billion capital commitment for the renovation of more than 12,000 units and the construction of 1,200 additional ones across six military housing properties.
The junior enlisted component of Campbell Crossing comprises two-, three- and four-bedroom floorplans ranging from 1,000 to 1,616 square feet. Units feature ceiling fans, private storage and washer and dryer hookups, along with walk-in closets and fenced back yards for select units. Resident amenities include basketball courts, four fitness centers, two dog parks, four community rooms, two splash parks and 84 playgrounds.
Located at 2702 Michigan Ave., in the New Hammond Heights neighborhood, the property is on the border of Kentucky and Tennessee, roughly 60 miles from Nashville, Tenn. Blanchfield Army Community Hospital stands next to the community. There are retail and dining options on site, as well as close to Campbell Crossing, along Fort Campbell Boulevard.
