Capstone Development Partners and Harrison Street have completed the first phase of Residential Village at University of Washington Bothell, a $160 million, 1,055-bed student housing project in Bothell, Wash. The team behind the development includes Mahlum Architects, Andersen Construction, together with landscape designer Walker Macy and civil engineer OTAK.
Upon delivery, Residential Village will comprise three six-story residential buildings within the University of Washington Bothell campus. The project also includes the demolition of Husky Village, an apartment complex dating back to the 1980s that was repurposed into student housing. Construction started in October 2021 and is slated for completion by August 2024.
The first phase of the development consists of the delivery of two buildings, the Summit Hall and the Terrace Dining Pavilion. The residential building comprises 380 beds, mostly in two-bedroom units, along with 14,000 square feet of office space on the ground floor. The dining hall will encompass 15,000 square feet. The second phase is already underway, planned to add 183 units or 675 beds to the project.
Located at 18612 Beardslee Blvd., the 4.4-acre property is close to numerous dining options. Plaza at North Creek business center is 1 mile away, while the Town Center district is some 3 miles away.
Earlier this year, Capstone broke ground on Residence Hall III, a 430-bed student housing community in Lakeland, Fla. The project is slated for delivery by fall 2024.
