The Ronto Group has topped out Altura Bayshore, a 73-unit luxury high-rise condominium in Tampa, Fla. Construction broke ground less than a year ago and completion is expected in 2024.
In early 2022, the project received $72.5 million in construction financing from MSD Partners LP, arranged by JLL. The 23-story tower was designed by Curts Gaines Hall Jones Architects, while Connor & Gaskins Unlimited is the appointed general contractor.
The property will incorporate two-, three- and four-bedroom floorplans ranging from 2,443 to 3,575 square feet, including three penthouse layouts. Interiors will feature stainless-steel appliances, quartz and granite countertops, separate laundry rooms and private elevator foyers for each apartment. Rooftop amenities will include a swimming pool, spa, barbeque grills and clubhouse. The fourth floor amenity deck will encompass a fitness center, pickleball and bocce courts, a terrace with fire pit and a dog park.
Located at 2910 W. Barcelona St., the site is just off Selmon Expressway and 4 miles from downtown Tampa. It is also close to the SoHo district and Hyde Park Village.
Florida is one of the leading states for condo development, greatly benefiting from in-migration. Although new building regulations are putting a strain on the sector, luxury projects are still expected to do well. Recently, another high-end condo development in Tampa commenced construction. The 38-story, Arquitectonica-designed condo community is rising atop a hotel.
