Lefferts, a real estate development firm specializing in residential and commercial properties in Miami and New York City, has topped out its 22-story, 206-unit luxury Miami Beach condominium, 72 Park.
The project is slated for completion in summer 2024 and will be the first new luxury tower on Miami Beach to permit short-term rentals. Units will range in size from 470 to 1,177 square feet, with available inventory starting in the $700,000s. Cervera Real Estate is handling sales exclusively.
The tower is designed by Built Form, with interiors and landscapes designed by Urban Robots Associates. Located at 580 72nd St., 72 Park is steps from the beach, the Miami Beach Tennis Academy, North Shore Park, the Miami Beach Bandshell and the new Miami Beach Aquatic Center and Park.
The property will also offer 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, with tenants including Roberta’s, a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant and sister location of the famed Brooklyn, N.Y., eatery of the same name.
The property will feature 64,000 square feet of amenities, including a 35,000-square-foot amenity deck and a 150-foot-long resort-style pool with cabanas. Other features include a bar and lounge with indoor-outdoor seating, a state-of-the-art fitness center with a yoga lounge, a 24/7 coworking lounge with private pods, kids’ playrooms and an outdoor screening room for movie nights and sporting events.
Second condo project planned
Last month, Lefferts submitted an application to the Miami Beach Design Review Board to develop 72B, a 20-story, 125-unit luxury condominium tower located across the street from 72 Park and just south of Surfside. The company expects to break ground on that project in 2024 and complete it in 2027. The 239,424-square-foot property is one of four developments that Lefferts is planning for the neighborhood.
The tower at 600 72nd St. will offer ground-floor commercial space, including food and beverage concepts. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing will be the exclusive sales and marketing manager. It will be designed by Arquitectonica, an international architecture and design firm based in Miami. Arquitectonica is also the firm designing 42 Pine, a 50-unit luxury condominium in Miami Beach from JP Roosevelt that topped off in June.
Lefferts has invested more than $1.5 billion and co-developed more than 3 million square feet of mixed-use space over the past two decades. Since expanding to South Florida from New York City in 2019, the privately owned firm has made significant investments in Miami Beach, developing multiple luxury residential and retail projects.
