Core Spaces has opened Hub College Park, a 475-bed student housing community in College Park, Md. Studio K Creative together with Core’s design team served as the interior designer, while Antunovich Associates was the architect and Treehouse Builders the general contractor.
Core Spaces will manage the property. Students moved in last month for the 2023-2024 school year, while leasing is open for next year.
This new delivery comes on the heels of another student housing asset, the 792-bed Hub Atlanta, opened by Core Spaces in Midtown Atlanta last week.
In-unit amenities include a private terrace, full-size washers and dryers, USB ports in kitchens and bathrooms and sound systems. Common-area amenities include:
- coworking lounge space
- outdoor study areas
- outdoor hot tub and heater
- rooftop swimming pool
- outdoor terrace and patio
- New Here coffee shop
Located at 4210 Knox Road, near the University of Maryland, the 239,542-square-foot property consists of nine buildings and includes 161 studio, one-, two- three-, four- and five-bedroom units. According to Yardi Matrix data, the University of Maryland – College Park was in the top 20 universities with the most bedrooms under construction, with 2,649 bedrooms underway as of June.
